From the heart…with Mercure Hotels!
Since I became a professional travel writer, I have had the chance to discover many beautiful destinations and therefore stay in amazing hotels all around the world (believe me I am truly grateful for all that!). Every single one of my stays has something unique, but what makes a night in a hotel truly unforgettable to me is those little attentions that the staff has towards you. It’s sometimes just a smile, maybe fresh flowers in your room, a bottle of prosecco or simply an unexpected present for your little one…and this is exactly what I had the chance to experience at the Mercure London Bridge Hotel .
Located in Southwark, a few steps away from Borough’s Market and the Shard, this 4* hotel is a must-go for the ones who are looking for a quiet and lovely place right in the middle of the city. Everything is thought to recreate the atmosphere of a home away from home. And even more now since the AccorHotels group has launched a very new and unique kind of service called « From the Heart »: Imagine that your stay was personalised according to your specific needs and the type of guest you are, how cool would that be? This is exactly what I had the chance to experience in the Mercure London Bridge Hotel. A different kind of stay, a bit more personal, with a real connection with the staff…to create the little difference that makes a night in a hotel truly wonderful!
Tastefully decorated and punctuated with modern touches, the room I had I stayed in was really big and offered a private balcony with amazing views over London. And believe me, after a long day in the city, nothing feels better than having some time to relax and enjoy a delicious Italian dinner (directly brought to your room!) from your hotel room! On top of that, I was also very surprised to find that my balcony was completely recovered of fresh flowers! A beautiful attention that truly makes a difference!
The next morning, we treated ourselves with breakfast in the room and once again, we were very touched to receive another surprise from the hotel! While the waiter was arranging our breakfast table on the balcony for us (once again, could this be any better…?!) we found out that he left a beautiful bouquet of red roses and a lovely note to wish us a beautiful day on the table for us! It’s not a lot, just a little touch, but it still makes you feel special…and at the end of the day, it’s all that matters! And we even had the chance to thank him in French as he spoke French quite well I must say!
The kindness of the staff, the care from check in to check out and the attention paid to every single detail that makes you feel special (that beautiful flower installation in our balcony for example!), and on top of that, my favorite Italian food directly brought to my room…this sounds like the perfect stay to me, and I must admit that it really was! I couldn’t be more grateful to the amazing staff of the Mercure London Bridge Hotel for putting such a wonderful stay for me…and my family! (Because yes, everyone received some special treats!)…
…And that is the true spirit of « From the Heart »!
