Food tour in Prague
During our stay in Prague, we had the chance to try our first food tour ever! An amazing culinary journey that will take us through Prague most iconic restaurants and cafes! A new adventure that we were proud to do with the team of Eating Prague which has organized an amazing 4:30 hours of tasting and discovering the city! Jan, our guide was really impressive, this guy knows everything you have to know about Prague’s food culture. We met him at this really cute biscuits place in the heart of the city called Perníčkův sen, where we tried our first meal of the day! First stop…of eight! Yes, you read it right: This tour is for food lovers, so get ready to be full by the end of the day! Perníčkův sen generously have prepared those typical biscuits from the country that where absolutely delicious!
Our second stop of this journey would be @bistrosisters where you can try their famous and delicious open-face sandwiches! The kind of dish I could easily see myself eating over and over!
I nearly forgot to present @janmacuch our guide and passionate food-lover for today! Jan is a living encyclopedia about Czech food (and actually all kinds of food all over the world, I might say!) He knows all the best places in the city and all its secret gems! And that’s precisely up above the city in the Restaurant Zvonice that Jan decided to take us to! We had a chance to try the amazing Old Bohemian soup which was Fa-bu-lous and enjoyed the view from one of the highest restaurant in Prague!
Our next stop of the day would be one of the cutest hidden courtyard cafe in the new town! @styleainterier has absolutely everything you need: Delicious wine, cozy atmosphere and a beautiful secret garden: All that in the center of the city! And if the food is just not enough for you, you can still take the beautiful furniture back home: Everything is on sale!
It’s nearly the end of the tour but we couldn’t go back to the hotel before discovering the magnificent Cafe Louvre! Many famous people have stepped into this place, Franz Kafka himself used to go to Cafe Louvre and write at one of those tables. I felt so honored to try so many amazing Czech specialities today that I just can’t tell you what I preferred! But I can promise you that the Czech dumplings cooked with vegetable sauce are a must-try!
I just couldn’t leave you guys without showing you a little bit of what we got for dessert! You know how much I love desserts and never say no to a touch of sweet! So here at Cafe Louvre, we also had the chance to taste the famous jablčny zavin, a delicious and not too sweet Apple Studel! No need to say that I didn’t leave a tiny bit of it on my plate!
I hope you guys enjoyed the culinary food trip we had together! I just wanted to thank our amazing guide of the day, @janmacuch for his kindness and passion and the lovely team of Eating Prague for this great opportunity! It was a pleasure to discover the city through your eyes and if it’s possible, I think I am even more in love with Prague that I was before!!
Thanks a lot Eating Prague for the tour!
